I went out after work yesterday I found a good number of birds here are the
most interesting finds .
Snow Goose -- 4 -- 2 in Swoope & one each Bells Lane & pond off seen from I 81
Cackling Goose -- 6 4th spring record & peak count that matches March of 2005
-- pond behind Hardee's Verona -- got photos
Canada Goose -- 1131 -- all over Augusta County
Tundra Swan -- 1 pond seen from I 81
Gadwall -- 84 -- peak count -- 20 at Quillen's , 25 at Bells Lane , 9 at
McCunes , 30 at pond I 81
Ring - necked Duck --144 peak count -- 39 Quillen's , 10 Bells Lane , 33
McCunes , 13 T E Groves , 2 Dupont , 1 Hardees Verona , 2 Rt. 254 Waynesboro ,
29 I 81 , 13 boy Scout Camp
Hoded Merganser-- 45 -- peak count -- 27 Quillens , 11 Bells Lane , 5 I 81 , 2
