As unbelievable as this may sound, there was a second sighting of an
Anhinga at 11:45 a.m. (EST) this morning, quite possibly the same one
observed on Sunday, unless there has been unexplained influx of Anhingas
into the Mountain and Valley areas.
Judging by the amount of "brown" seen on top of wings and back on today's
bird, this would be an immature. Bird was observed by Sarah Splaun,
Jennifer Gaden (official morning counter), Art Baker (or Barker) from
Richmond, Robert Plank and yours truly.
The bird was first discovered about 1.5 - 2 glasses off top of ridge on NE
corner of gap between near right rollover and towers. Everyone watched
this bird closely as it circled and moved WNW, disappearing out over
Waynesboro, VA. So heads up you valley people!
This sighting will be included report on Sunday's bird to be submitted to
VARCOM.

P.S. Upper level NNE winds are pushing BWs through but most are very
difficult to see in the bright blue and so high up!
