Tonight on the way home from the Vienna Metro, as I bemoaned my lack of bird
time lately,
I was halfway across the Nutley Street intersection when what seemed to be a
nice juvenile
Cooper's Hawk made a smooth as silk approach on a sparrow, flying right behind
him into
the underbrush near Marshall Road School.
This bird is used to the intersection, surely, as his descent was a hair above
the car rooftops but
crafted from personal intersection experience.
That was a great way to end the day.
