I checked on the White Pelican during lunch today. It was still there,
preening near the western edge of Accotink Bay.
Also of note: seven Tundra Swans, one juvenile Red-Shouldered Hawk, one RC
Kinglet, multiple Carolina Wrens, many ducks (Ring-necked or Lesser Scaup),
Canada Geese, gulls, crows, and Turkey Vultures. No Bald Eagles.
Observation point: Ft. Belvoir, near the Accotink Bay Wildlife Refuge
Environmental Education Center, just off Little Road.
