[v-webmail] V-webmail on Debian?

Does anyone have experience install and configuring IMAP Extension for
PHP on debian?
What I have done:
Apt-get install php4
Added some lines to my httpd.conf file
And PHP works
Since Apt installed php4 I'm not sure where the files are for compiling
php --with-imap=prefix /usr/local/imap-current & --with-mysql arguments.
