Eric, thanks for sending this. Notwithstanding the gushing fanzine rhetoric,
e.g., "It is an unabashedly progressive agenda that the left has been trying to
advance for decades,” (a) I’ll believe any of it when I see it and (b) none of
this has anything to do with Medicare for All, which Biden has consistently and
loudly declared his opposition to. He has instead been talking about Obamacare
expansion, that is, more $$ to the dysfunctional, for-profit private health
care insurance industry. He has also nominated almost no progressive Dems to
leadership positions; I thought he would have thrown us a few bones at least,
but he has so far been solidly center-right in his choices. Look at Tom
Vilsack, darling of Big Ag, for that post, for example.
Sorry to rain on this parade - and notwithstanding my lack of enthusiasm, I am
fervently hoping for a completely uneventful inauguration on Wednesday!
