Bob, you are talking like the rear end of that horse you keep mentioning.  If
you cannot discuss issues or at least address my speculations, don't respond to
what I post.  And quit spreading horse apples.  Eric

Your false narrative is riding a stalking horse that doesn't even pass the
smell test, in my opinion.

If these were all the provisions of the proposed law, I expect that the Texas
Democrats would grumble a bit at some of the worst ones but allow it to go
through.  The one about "ballot harvesting" is especially egregious because it
assumes dishonest motives on the part of the collector who goes to nursing
homes, Indian reservations and other places where people may have difficulty
getting mail in or out or might have difficulty getting to a polling place.
Equality implies equal treatment for all and assistance for those who need it.
Eric

The Texas Bill provisions as in the bill.

It is one of America's basic principles.  Skin color, nation of origin,
religion, sexual persuasion, gender, where you live, etc. are all supposed to
be irrelevant.  The laws are supposed to be blind to any issue except the legal
facts.  As it says in the Declaration of Independence,  "All men are created
equal.  As Orwell said, "Pigs are pigs but some pigs are more equal than
others."  He was writing about the Soviet Union.  We are supposed to be better
that.
