CptAlarikSandulf: Alrighty.... LAST TIME ON THE USS HORIZON.... The teams
entered the main building of Facility 18... only to find that it was on a
backup power source of some kind.
CptAlarikSandulf: Mr DaVinci was sliced to bits by the security system,
guarding the hallway he was in The other members of his team were able to
flee once the door reopened.
CptAlarikSandulf: Any questions?
Siorus Isa: Ouch.
Lt Cdr Fields: only one! Were is that pizza I ordered? They said they
deliver

take a look at this. Maybe it'll clue us in on why we've been coming up with
such inconclusive results regarding Ensign Troy?

Siorus Isa: Dr Enpiecie > Telepathic and telekinetic abilities ... trip
into ... Mirror Universe? ... this gets stranger by the moment. No wonder we
haven't solved this, we've been analyzing her like an ordinary Betazoid.

attacked one of our teams and caused casulaties. Were pulling out of the
building now.
Siorus Isa: This ... thing ... is hacking our security, Sir. Whatever it is,
it's got abilities far beyond what I've seen.

found the source of what destroyed the facility.

takes out Ensign Angelo.

Oridian Starfire: ::halts at the door, looking around quickly to see where
the beam came from, swords still drawn::

Siorus Isa: Indeed, as it seems to violate all the Laws of Robotics,
starting with Number One ... a robot may not harm a human being, or, through
inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Siorus Isa: What is a computer but a robotic device?

staying where we were. The hallway we were in was virtually untouched by
damage. It said to return to the lobby to await further instructions.

of you are on break for the next 3 hours, go rest and recover, and check in

Siorus Isa: That means ... someone there could have turned on us.

complex. I'm wondering. Could it have been a computer security program
override.

CptAlarikSandulf: Remember, the power did go out for a brief time, maybe

Siorus Isa: Hmm. ::ponders:: This is getting more and more difficult by the
moment.
CptAlarikSandulf: This facility was built during a time in history when
the
Federation was at war. Perhaps the computer wasn't upgraded, or this program
was never removed.
CptAlarikSandulf: +Oridian+ Barely.
Lt Cdr Fields: ::sits at her spot, listens to whats going on::
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ I have some reports for you.
Siorus Isa: Yes ... during the Dominion War ... someone could have taken
advantage of things following that.
CptAlarikSandulf: Actually, Mr. Isa, this facility dates back to just
after
the Romulan War.
CptAlarikSandulf: It's just been updated quite often.
Siorus Isa: Ah. That one. I stand corrected.
CptAlarikSandulf: +Oridian+ Go ahead.
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ The situation on the ground is not one which I
speak highly of. After securing the area around the building we entered, and
were promptly told by the computer to stand still and be identified.
CptAlarikSandulf: ::listens to Oridian:::
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ Our teams spilt up to gather data, and myself
and
Mr. Suisei tried our authorization codes to override the system, both of
which failed. We gathered everyone together, only to discover that our bravo
team was missing.
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ To expediate things, we left the building as
fast
as we could, but took 5 total casualites, 4 from aparrent laser fire from the
building's defensive mechanisms, and apparently one of my team leaders was
sliced into cubes.
CptAlarikSandulf: ::turns to Isa:: Find out the Fleet Admiral and the
Federation President at the time of the Romulan War...I have an idea.
Siorus Isa: Aye Sir.
Oridian Starfire: ::pauses for a moment before continuing, still looking
at
the building:: +Alarik+ Interesting facts to report however. The computer
itself is not acting like a standard computer. It instead seemed to have a
personality.
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ Also, the Bravo Team found a section of the
building which was apparently undamaged, completely undamaged.
CptAlarikSandulf: +Oridian+ Understood... keep a safe distance, we're
checking on a idea from up here. And we think the computer is programmed for
defense of the facility if thought it was under attack.
Oridian Starfire: +Alarik+ Roger, keep us informed.
Oridian Starfire: ::goes back into the tent to ponder, and then do some
counseling for the away team members who need it::
Siorus Isa: Let me see ... prior to 2184 I have no data regarding the
President of the Federation Council ... preceding Jonathan Archer. ::frowns::
Lt Cdr Fields: ::runs the list of people who would have been on the planet
against a list of anyone who might have had a beef with the federation or
were vocal against anything going on in the federation ::
