* This is what happens when I'm up late and looking for log ideas :-D Twas the night before Christmas the Banshee verson 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the ship Not a creature was stirring, not even Chip; The warp core was humming, while they flew though space, In hopes that they could fine rommie ale by the case; The crew were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Cardassians danced in their heads; And Cy in her 'satins, and I in her lap Had just settled down for a long winter's nap, ;) When out on the hull there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I went in a dash, giving Cy quite a flash. The stars whizzed by in a complete blur; I blinked and blinked and still was unsure. What to my wondering eyes did appear? A miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. I couldn’t believe out here he came, then I heard him call out our names. "Hey, Rhiannon! Hey, Victor, Hey Sara and Cy; Yo, J‘van! Yo Josh! Yo, Heather and the rest of you guys ! The ship wide hail could be heard by all! permission to board and I‘m going to need stalls!" as the cargo bay opens the sleigh I saw fly, into the ship and out of the sky, So his course to the Banshee they flew, With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard down the hall The closing and locking of each little stall. As I turned and headed for the door, St. Nicholas boots could be heard on the floor. He was dressed all in red as if he were command, I sighed, for that into the brig he could land; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a Ferengi with latinum in his pack. His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath; He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, I put on my robe and followed him to see for myself; what he was up too as the light in the hall became dim, I also what’d to know if he got me the new Sims. He headed right for the bridge and at that moment kinda looked like Kirk, He filled all the stockings; Hey! Josh’s is bigger! oh what a jerk! Then laying his finger aside of his nose, a gesture I had to doubt the jolly old man just kinda beamed out; On the view screen I watched as they flew like a falcon, I knew his next stop must be the Halcyon But on the comm I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight, "MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!"
