the better. Perhaps yu could mail me the link to the chesbase files if you
are allowed to do that and I could take a look.

I am a computer science graduate and still getting problems.... jokes
aside, I tried openning the encoded cbv file by hand to see if the
format was parseable somehow, but it is not the case. Cbv turns out to
be a closed format of the chessbase program, so it is not possible to
write a script apparently to convert it.
Anyway, thanks for the comments, I will keep trying different
alternatives.

I can open the book, navigate in its contents, but opening any item on
the list brings me to a window that it is inaccessible, where I suppose
that the content of the book is.
Is anyone able to use chessbase with a screen reader?
