Hey, all!
It is that great time again, time for us to set those clocks, set up
those boards and play chess live in Pittsburgh.
If you're still on the fence about coming or not, come for the
fightin'. Sure, we'll have our time to chat and hang out, throw back a
couple adult beverages and catch up in person. Whether you're a
beginner or a veteran of the greatest game ever invented, this will be
the place. And, more than that, the meals and entry fee are covered!
There's a timely shuttle running between the hotel and the airport for
those who are flying in. I know my wife and I are driving in the day
before the games to get settled in.
Yes, I know Pittsburgh is famous for it Steel Curtain defense of the
1970s. But, the time for strong pawn chain and lock-down defense in
the black and white jungle is still at hand.
The hotel's great, too. Weight rooms, free wifi, the opportunity to
interact with our sponsoring club Relyea Chess from New Hampshire and
much more. So, if when our spouses aren't watching our games--and we'd
let them watch, we would invite them--there's plenty of leisure to be
found in the immediate area.
