As for your game, I'll offer a couple things, then hopefully others
will chime in and either expound on or correct my thoughts here.
First, your move 9...Nd4 was a blunder. Better is to recapture with
the knight. So, the probable continuation goes: 9...Nxe5 10.Nxe5 Qxe5
If:
a. 11.Bf4 Qxc3 12.Bf6 And the black Q is forced to stay on the long
diagonal. Would recommend d6 here to activate Q's B at c8.
b. 11.d4 Qxe4 12.Bd3 Qa5 13.Bf6 Qb6, since black's Q will be forced to
defend the f6-square.
While neither line winds up being great for black, seeing that his Q
is on the run, they don't result in as much immediate loss of
material.
The earlier move of white's B to d6 clogs up the center early and
will necessarily result in repositioning it again as the text shows.
As for countering the Vienna game which you faced, I'd steer clear of
the four knights arrangement in favor of:
1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.f4 d5 which can have a possible continuation of
4.fxe5 Nxe4 5.d3 Nxc3 bxc3.
Of course, another continuation is accepting white's gambited f4 by
taking it and entering King's Gambit lines. For my part as black, I
say, "No thanks!" *grin* I'll leave either side of the King's gambit
to folks who know much more about how to handle it than myself.

I was fine until I was checked then I couldn’t seem to find a move that the
computer would let me do.
It’s a night check which means it covered e8 and c8 but it wouldn’t let me
move anywhere for some reason.
Any thoughts or analysis would be appreciated.
