Hunter, In fact, I had that very same problem. I never did figure out what was
wrong. I finally resorted to the solution of creating a new handle for myself.
Che and I worked on it together. It simply refused to recognize me until I
created a new name for myself. So far, I haven’t had the trouble with the new
name.

Has anyone else had this issue? I tried for a good 10 minutes to sign
up for lichess, but eachtime I try to register, it says the username
was already taken. Even my own name had been used, if the site wasn't
just bugging out.
