Everyone,
I also extend my condolences as well. I didn't know Dick well, only
seeing him in person once--at the US Championship for Blind Players
in Louisville, 2000. One thing I remember from our game there and
subsequent email games is how he never beat himself. It didn't matter
what rating any of us had, he gave a great fight. And, he was such a
gentleman about it, too.

The USBCA owes much to Dick McStraw. He kept the organization going for a
number of years. I attended several of the Findlay tournaments. I’ll try to
reach his wife, Georgia, to pass along condolences.
