Jim T,
Sounds good. Should I log onto FreeChess as myself and watch for you? Do you
want to also talk via Skype?
Thanks.

Hi Jim H,
Let's plan a tentative 9PM EST for next Friday. Game/60 is fine with me,
addition to--what's been written to the List of late, I contend that there
are a host of ways to go about doing game analysis, most of which can be
helpful at least to some degree, which depend, primarily, on how much time
one has to devote to the effort. Frankly, if I spent the time analyzing that
some folks recommend, I'd be a divorcee!. And I suspect that is true for
quite a few.
Don't hesitate to give me a call to remind me come Friday.
Meanwhile, with a bit of luck, see you on Freechess next Friday evening.
game in 60. To control this, we could sign onto FreeChess and let it time,
Best,

Hi Jim T,
I am willing to start at 9:00 PM, if we can either ajourn games or do
plus talk on Skype at the same time to make things more friendly. May I also
be so bold as to ask you the favor of helping me learn to analyze my games,
since I expect to lose a lot?

Hi Jim H,
Happy New Year!
Are you able to start as late as 9 PM EST? That's 8 PM CST in my
house, which may help me with that overriding need to "remember the
family!" I'm ok with playing something like game/45 or game/60, if
that helps with your need to get to sleep early enough to be
functional the next day at work. Or, maybe we can split the
difference and start at 8:30 EST. There's little likelihood that I
can play as early as 6 or 7 AM CST on Sat or Sun. And I try to keep
Sunday exclusively for my family. Also, I attend chess club most
Tuesday evenings from about 5:30- 9:30 (counting travel time) and
sometimes on Thursday evenings (same time). But Monday or Wednesday can

Subject: [usbca_chess] Help With My Newyears Chess Resolution
Hi,
I have decided that since some stronger players advised me to play
lots of over the board chess that I am going to play fifty games OTB
this year. This includes friendly and tournament games. This is where
you come in. I can usually play evenings at 8:00 US Eastern, which is
1:00 UTC, and early Saturday or Sunday mornings. I like to play
before the family gets up, at 7:00 or at the latest, 8:00 AM, US
Eastern,
12:00 or 13:00 UTC. If I can get up earlier, I like that even better.
Please spread this message to other groups. I may be getting what I
ask for, as they say, but I want to see if I can do this.
I am in some tournaments, and since many of the people are from other
countries, I try to save weekend games for this. I may turn down
games if work duties get in the way. Please do not be upset about
this. I usually cannot play at other times, because I need to
remember who my wife and kids are, and, even though chess is more
important than work and life, not everyone knows this.
Thanks.
Jim
