This is what I call a fancy f (or is it ye olde s with a line near the top?)
I am preparing a grouped frequency table whose headings are:
Hand Span (S) Frequency (*)
I used Math Type for the less than and less than or equal to in the Hand Span
column, and data in the Frequency f column.
In using Math Type I correctly spaced out the cm from the number but then when
transcribing into Duxbury the less than symbols etc were not spaced out as they
should be (p 64 of Using UEB for Mathematics). The table is otherwise laid out
correctly but the fancy f shows up as a repeat of open brackets (Duxbury 12.2
SR 1).
My other issue is that when I try to space out the maths correctly as per page
64 of the Maths Manual the first column creates a runover and this is for a
braillist who needs everything left-aligned. When attempting to split the
second column header over two lines to make room for the first column it screws
up the table. Should I just give in and do all of this manually?
