here is the latest version of my work;

it contains lotsa fixes, features etc etc.. and probably some bugs :}
please note that, it is still wip. (gui changes are only in gui-gtk)
it still needs some cleaning up but i'll get to there eventually :)
just extract the file, run ./bootstrap.sh
./configure as usual (there is also a new --enable-gccopt option that
enables cpu specific gcc optimizations)
