Hi all and Richard,

just saw today that finally is out a WIP of the new euae. I use regularly the 'old' 8.28, it works fine but I lack a bit of performances (powerbook g4 1ghz, osx 10.3.9), so I often get action slowed down or audio dropped in more complex game (ie. Superfrog etc..).

I tried every configuration of the amiga machine and also other ports of uae, the problem is always the same. I would like now to try the WIP of 8.29, to check if there are better performances (can I found this improvement also on latest CVS of 8.28?).

The problem is that I cannot compile 8.29 without X.

I launched the configure enabling sdl gfx and sound, disabling the test, and also disabling X (--without-x). It says me that X is skipped during configure, then launching make I can see something like a second 'configure' and it then starts compiling all packages. At one point there are a lot of errors on xwin.c and all stops, when it starts saying 'Making all in gfx-x11'.
The strange thing is that during the configure it says me that X support is disabled, then it seems that automake/autoconf make another 'configure' with X enabled and so during compile it tries to compile against X11.

On my machine I have yet X11 sdk, all developer packages installed, automake and autoconf updated/configured as needed.

How can I compile the package with only sdl framework support and without X ? I can operate easily on configuration and system files, so if you have a manual solution let me know maybe I can help the others then with a script or something like this to fix the problem.

Thanks and keep up the good work.
