I enabled bsdsock-new in that ebuild and I intended to mask 0.8.25 stable, so 
that people with the testing profile would be forced to try out the new 
bsdsock stuff. ;)
Maybe that was a bad idea? If you have the time please remove the 
- --enable-bsdsock-new line from the 0.8.27 ebuild and see if that solves your 
YAM problems.
