4. A new GUI based on OpenGL. The GUI is opened in front of the Amiga
screen (as an extra texture) and displays a paged list of configurations
(each with a screen shot). The user selects on of the configuration and
runs it. Alternatively the user may delete, copy or edit a configuration
or create an empty new one. The configuration edit dialog only shows the
minimum of options (many options of the existing GTK GUI are outdated or
to technical).
Yeps, inscreen file selector/menu/options a la ScummVm would be good.
All amiga emulators lacks this feature. When using E-Uae on my arcade
cabinet I can't (and don't want) to use the gtk frame, the emulator
window should allows to do everything on its own.

If a custom onscreen fileselector is made, it should be able to go
throught zip files and 7zip files as if it was a real directory. (some
other emulators does this).
Note: zip AND 7zip files because more and more roms and disks
collections uses 7zip solid archives for games which have many
different version. If you look at amiga tosec collection there is
often more than one version of a game or application. Using 7zip solid
archives can save you extra gigas.
