sharing the ui is nice, but perhaps when you plan a python qt gui it isn't necessary to do a c++ one anymore.
I tought about a pyqt version that could be kde enhanced if pykde is available. But I guess that a pyqt gui is not as cool on other OSes. It's easy under linux because the pyqt packages are installed by default in most modern distros.
