Whatever seems to be the proper solution after a good deep look at the problem. I tend to believe it would be better to use a "d_pc" keymap variant under UAE since those things are actually PC keyboards. But with the d_pc keymap those special apostrophes are not available. I think I will look into *fixing* the d_pc one. But to me its still not clear what a proper fix would be. All I can do right now is a symptomatical fix that will fix it for me.
