Not entirely sure what went wrong there. The binary must have not built
correctly.

The 20050614 binary produces the same problem here as you both describe, but
this one works okay. The binary also contains debug info, so, if it breaks,
we'll get a more useful crash report.

...And, by the way, have you compiled the 20050619 build with or without the newbsdsocket emulation ?!!
because the bsdsocket seem to be working on the G5 now, but i have no longer the time to test that today.
