The Turley Mill Firewise Committee is pleased to announce that the Turley Mill
HOA has been approved as an official Firewise Community and is now a member of
the National Firewise USA Program. As a Firewise Community, our goal is to
promote community-wide participation in the use of technology, policy and
practices that minimize the loss of life and property to wildfire. We plan to
seek grant opportunities for fire mitigation, strengthen our partnerships with
the Hondo-Seco Fire Department, The Cerro Negro Forest Council, The Carson
National Forest and our Neighbors.
In the coming months we’ll be sharing more information including both our
current Action Plan for Turley Mill and our Community of Turley Mill Wildfire
Risk Assessment Report completed in partnership with the New Mexico State
Forestry Division.
Please feel free to contact members of the Turley Mill Firewise Committee with
any questions.
