I bet they were sorry!

We tried to cancel but the delivery was coming out of Denver and THEY were
convinced that they could drive over ANYTHING. We did not want it because
Michelle was forced to drive up Monday night 5 plus hours to meet them then
get back to work the next day herself. This was not our idea, nor were we
ignorant of the roads. We have already been caught on the slip and slide
ourselves back in December. We advised against but they insisted. Neil

For those of you who are somewhat recent arrivals to Turley Mill, I can
pass on that Sheree and I, and I think most of us old timers, try to avoid
scheduling any deliveries on a day when snow is possible. Even if we can
get in and out fine in our 4WD cars, it’s almost impossible for delivery
trucks. When they try, they can end up sideways on the hill down to the
bridge and sometimes block the road completely. And once they get stuck
they can be there a long time.

The delivery truck was mine. Made it in but had trouble getting out!
Sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused.
I was able to get out with any issues.

Best Buy cancelled/rescheduled our delivery as that truck slid off the

Carl Dillistone just drove out and reported that there is a box truck,
some kind of delivery truck, stuck in the ditch on the side of the road
half way between the bridge and the rim road. The truck is facing
uphill, so apparently was trying to get up that hill leaving Turley Mill.
Manny Martinez was out there trying to help, but he can’t pull a truck
up that slope.
Carl was able to get by and get out. Please be extra cautious today
trying to get up or down that hill and watch out for that truck.

My son just left to ski, He just texted and said the road is “totally
fine”. I have Best Buy scheduled to arrive today and hope their trucks
can make it. Good luck with the furniture!

Hi Michelle,
I haven’t been out. We don’t have enough snow to plow, at least not
so far. Our roads are likely to be quite slippery however.
