Hi everyone,
We just received a copy of this email from the Taos County Fire Chief,
announcing that starting today no burn permits will be issued for the Taos
County Fire District due to the exceptionally dry conditions. Thanks to all
of you who signed the petition.

Subject: Burn Permits
Good afternoon,
Please be advised that starting today Taos County Fire Admin Office will not
be issuing any burn permits for any Taos County Fire District. It is just to
dry and no moisture in the near future for us. We will discuss about a burn
ban this week but for right now the best thing to do is not to issue
anything. Now this does not include the Village of Questa, Town of Taos,
Village of Red River or Taos Ski Valley this is just for Taos County Fire
districts. If you as a district chief still want to do that it’s your
decision it would be in all of our interests not to issue anything right
now.
