Hi All,
As you may know, fire restrictions have been eased in Taos County and
the Taos County Fire Marshall has started issuing burn permits.
Although we've had some moisture, we think it is premature to allow
burning at this time.
Twice in the past several days, fire trucks have been deployed to our
close neighborhoods on Gallina Canyon Road and Turkey Springs Road
because of concern about fires getting out of control.
Niklos Jaramillo from The Hondo Seco Fire Department has confirmed that
the forest floor remains very dry.
If you agree that burn permits should not be issued at this time and
would like your voice heard, please join our neighbor's efforts to
extend the burning ban by signing the following petition.
