Hi everyone,
It has come to the attention of some of us that some drivers heading back and
forth between the bridge and the rim road have been tossing treats out their
windows to the dogs that hang around near the houses where Manny Martinez and
his family live.
The problem with doing this is that the dogs are expecting treats from cars and
are becoming more aggressive in approaching passing cars and getting in the
way. With construction vehicles heading up and down that road, often too fast,
it’s creating a real danger that one of those dogs may get struck or run over.
We think it would be safer for the dogs, and better for our relationship with
Manny and his family, if we did not feed those dogs from our cars when we pass
by his house. I hope everyone understands our concern and will give this some
thought.
