Salary: $783.61 per week
Location: 777 Bay Street, 14th Floor, Toronto, ON, M5G 2E5


Exciting summer opportunities exist with the Market Housing Branch, Ministry 
of Municipal Affairs and Housing.  We have a high profile, complex policy 
agenda to secure affordable housing in Ontario, and to ensure a dynamic, 
effective housing market.  

You will work with and learn from experienced, innovative, collaborative 
policy professionals who are leading the development of new housing policy, 
integrated with the government?s fiscal, social and economic priorities.  You 
will learn about and take part in the policy development and government 
decision-making processes, develop presentation skills and hone your writing 
skills.  Each student will be assigned a mentor to advise and guide you 
throughout your summer assignment.

Working closely with others, you will:
?Collect background data and information from a variety of internal and   
   external sources, including other ministries & other jurisdictions, as part 
   of a team carrying out policy/program development and review initiatives;
?Analyze & manipulate data, interpret findings & provide, as part of a team, 
   information used to support Branch activities;
?Set up and maintain task-specific databases/research records for information
   in support of research project teams;
?Provide information and data for consolidation of reports, briefings and 
   presentations; draft written products for Team Leaders or Managers;
?Undertake assigned projects involving investigations/research on housing 
   issues;
?Serve on cross-Branch teams focused on research or stakeholder liaison.
