[trowmensshed] Old tools project Morning!Nice to see many of the shed folk
yesterday to say farewell to Dave.re the old tools project -after thinking
about this and possibly wasting your valuable time Kevin (sorry) I've been
thinking of how we can hang these old tools without causing them any bodily
harm.I've discovered pegboard - no doubt something you are all familiar with,
having woodworky brains and likely there is some hanging on the shed walls....
I thought if we used this it would be 1. in keeping with the vintage tools
(buff coloured or white) 2. it would be easy to access the tools in case anyone
wished to use an aging traditional tool or simply take joy in reminiscing. 3.
If we use pegs, they can be displayed easily and changed around if needs be,
without the use of drilling into handles. I know you will all be gripped with
enthusiasm with this. The measurements to fit easily into that space would be
1500mm x 1000mm -I've looked online and can't see this size -does anyone know a
supplier before I start looking locally? We would also need pegs, so would we
need to cut our own from dowel, or can you buy these? Of course if anyone has
some interesting old woodworking tools to contribute than more the merrier. Bye
for now Jill-- Jill Hillman MA Fine Art20 West Ashton RoadBA14
