Hi Bob,

Hope you and the other men at the shed are well and enjoyed a break over
Christmas?

I wondered if you were in a position to take an order of some custom built and
made to measure wooden planters? These are for outside The Hub on Seymour
estate (community group that you lovingly made the medieval stocks for!) They
would like them to be placed outside the Hub frontage to brighten up the area
and to give the young people who attend for youth sessions, the opportunity to
grow flowers and herbs and tend to them as some of the children don’t have
gardens themselves or don’t have someone at home who will help them to grow
plants. I think this a great idea and something that will really make a
difference visually to the shop front.

The group have some money in the pot to pay for materials but would love to use
the expertise of the Mens shed to custom make these over buying them ‘off the
shelf’. They could take various designs, either on stilts or solid in structure
as the pics below show. I think they would be happy with whatever works well
for you as long as its visibly appealing and fit for purpose. The planters
would need to be treated/painted wood and water tight membrane ready to fill
with soil. There will also need to be a hidden chain/bolt of some description
attached to the planter and to the floor/wall to deter any unsavoury characters
taking a shine to them!
