As it turns out, Troop 286 will be camping Saturday, April 22 and Sunday,
April 23 at Troy Fish and Game so the ILST class scheduled for Saturday,
April 22 will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 29. Same time, 1:30pm to
3:00pm. Same location, West Charleston Church of the Brethren.

Troop 286 will be conducting the Introduction to Leadership Skills for
Troops (ILST) course over three different days, one 90 minute module per
day. This course will be conducted at the West Charleston Church of the
Brethren on Saturday, April 15, Saturday, April 22 and Saturday, May 6 from
1:30pm to 3:00pm each day in the Friendship room. If the troop ends up
going camping on the weekend of April 22 and 23 then Saturday, April 29
will be substituted for Saturday, April 22.
The purpose of the Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troop course is
to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their roles and how to most
effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in
leadership positions within our troop understand their responsibilities and
to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those
responsibilities. Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops is the
first course in a series of leadership training offered to Boy Scouts.
Completion of Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops is a
prerequisite for Boy Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership
courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and the National Advanced
Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE).

are invited to attend this course:
