I must have a lame version of Windows 98SE or maybe I'm getting a mental block. In my Windows 98SE I can't duplicate Victor's instructions nor is Chuck's suggested solution available - there ain't no "thumbnail" written anywhere in this machine. Not even in the Windows "Help" files' Index. I do have all this in Windows 2K, though. Beats me! But I'm glad you were able to resolve your issue, Juanita. The only way I can preview an image is by means of a right click on a desired image file and then choosing "context magic" - voila'. Otherwise, no thumbnails, no preview, no fun! A. 8( Hold the horses!! I went and tried something else. In Windows Explorer, View>Folder Options> Custom, based on settings you choose>Settings, under "View Web Contents in folders" I ticked on "For all folders with HTML content" and now I can see a thumbnail displayed, but only of JPG files. For TIF, TGA, etc. it does not work. Windows - always learning a new trick. Thank you Victor, Juanita and Chuck. But only if I follow his instructions. I want to be able to do it after clicking windows explorer. I am hoping Chucks instructions works after rebooting, have not done that yet. Like I said before, this isn't the first time this has happened. For some unknown reason, somewhere down the line it always returned to where I could see the images when I click on them. When I click on thumbnail like Chuck said, it makes the folders big, and still fills the whole screen. Of course I do still have the left screen too.
