A large capacity Big Blue, eh? Well, when you get a
chance, run the diagnostic software they offer and hope
for a resolution.

At one time I read they(IBM HDDs) were failing left &
right. Maybe yours is still under warranty. I remember
that not so long ago I was happy to pay an extra 25
dollars just so I could get a double the capacity disk
than I would have if I had only spent $120.00 dollars,
so I went for it.

I was tickled pink to get my spanking new WD 2.1 GB for
$145.00 bucks - you can get a brand new PC for that
now-a-days. Well, almost, if you don't go for XP and
use your own monitor.

Agreed, it *is* a great group, in my humble opinion.
Best yet are its owner/moderator combo.(I'm not
brown-nosing here).

I lost your addy, btw.

I have other "leads" that you can try should this one
turn out to be all for naught.

BTW, don't forget that I *still* hate XP. But that's me.
GO, MARLINS!!
Herman
