me out for breakfast on Saturday and to the airport and I really enjoyed
being with them. I sensed that they have healed really well from that pain.

Most of you probably have seen that we started a grief support group at
our church through my FB posts. This program was instrumental in helping my
parents after Tim died. A year after he died they started this group, and I
got my parents back. They were distant and hard to connect with during that
time, and I could just hear a change in their voice about 4-6 weeks in
(this is before Skype and texting, so we talked more often), and it was
such a relief to me to hear them laugh and not bitterly. I can't really
explain it, but I know this helped them immensely.
So we had our first night tonight and I'm not at liberty to say who came,
but we had 2 from the community and 1 from our church. The two from the
community are closely involved in this situation that made national news at
the end of August the weekend before school started. There are stories with

Maleia played with their oldest daughter on the playground at school. The
younger 2 kids weren't at school yet, but the little girl was going to join
Kat's class. Tonight there was so much raw pain. I would appreciate your
prayers as we walk through this with them. I feel very unqualified to do
this, and after tonight I know I'll be praying more often regarding this. I
was more involved with advertising and snacks that I didn't give as much
thought to the actual discussion. Geoff is leading and I'm just helping so
I didn't really have anything to prepare, but I felt rather helpless
tonight as they each shared. Prayer for wisdom would be really appreciated.
