Yes, to all the things that come out of your mouth that as a kid you probably
didn't even think of if your mom said it, but now you say weird things and
sometimes don't think twice. My heart goes out to Ruth! It was overwhelming for
me to say good-bye to a season, looking forward to a new one, and then
realizing that I am restarting the previous one. I felt like I barely got out
alive, and now I'm going back in for more. I know with Danica, I tried to focus
on thriving in the season instead of surviving. Praying for you, Kristi. I'm
thankful when I see others investing in my kids. Please know that you are
appreciated by me and my kids. They talk about you. :) Last week of classes
filled with observations, case studies, and papers. The finish line is in
sight! Thank you for praying! I need it.ps

Kristi, I am glad he is doing well and at home. Thanks for the update!! And
AMEN to "We all need a lot of grace to hope in Him. "
"Oh for grace to trust Him more." He is worthy.

Baby Simeon is just fine. He's been home for about ten days now. He was having
some breathing issues at first but they weren't very serious. They mostly kept
him in the NICU for observation. We're very thankful.
And yes, it doesn't get any easier with the years and the babies, especially
since Ruth is 42 and wasn't planning on having a fifth child (sound familiar,
Pam?) and I always wanted to have four or five myself. But the Lord is faithful
to give me grace to keep trusting Him one day at a time. He is so very, very,
very good that this is obviously His good choice for me. He keeps refining my
faith in this area, like He's refining yours in other areas. We all need a lot
of grace to hope in Him.
Yesterday my friendly local neighborhood beggar who can hardly speak any French
said, "Husband? Husband? You no husband? Why? Where he is?" I had to laugh as I
tried to explain no, me no husband, he no exist, perhaps!
I'm hosting a mom and two teens from one of my churches in SC. I just heard her
ask her son, "Did you take a shower with SOAP? Did you brush your teeth with
TOOTHPASTE?" Cracks me up. You moms obviously can't assume anything!
