Pam I agree with you whole heartedly. Our church gives every lady a gift and My
husband usually does a message about a lady in the Bible, nothing to do with
being a mother. Our Junior Church kids always makes something for their moms
though.

I think we've discussed Mother's Day before. Our church celebrates Biblical
Womanhood and gives a carnation to all ladies post high school. Someone came up
to Geoff recently and said it seemed to demean motherhood and felt like
"everyone gets a trophy." Geoff thought about it, and responded that just
because women give birth, it doesn't make them a great mother, and that as a
church we should see the broader picture of how women can invest in others and
applaud that and encourage that.
This article is spot on - I know that Kristi and Bonnie might not be where they
celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, but I want to encourage you and the rest
of us in discipleship with this article.

I love you all, and appreciate your ministry to me and to the ones you are
investing in.
