For like Commodore stuff, the kind of stuff TPUG members are most likely into,
yes there really isn’t a whole lot to offer. One option is an empty case with
keyboard you can put whatever you want into. That might be somewhat useful but
in most cases I think not.
However, like if I wanted a i5/1650 powered gaming PC, and I wanted it to look
like a Commodore 64 because it makes me happy, then this does that. This is for
someone who wanted to use an old broken C64 and turn it into a PC case mod.
Also, if you had a retro space, then you could have that modern PC that lets
you download stuff and do modern things, while blending into the style of the
space. Like lots of people have a modern PC or laptop nearby when doing retro
stuff so you can download disk images or lookup schematics or run eeprom
readers/writers, etc… so this would blend into that space.
Also, for example, I could have this as a computer in my work office, so I can
have all the retro feels, but not have to deal with all the issues of having a
real vintage system on my desk.
Also, you could have this as a living room PC that looks cool on your shelf
instead of a PC, with your wireless keyboard and mouse or remote or whatever
for living useable.
There’s lots of contexts that would make this fun. I

Well I must admit I don't get it. The C64 was a very neat machine. The form
factor and the keyboard were by far the worst aspects of it, and that's the
only parts they are keeping when putting a PC in a C64 style case. It makes
no sense. Has any of the previous attempts really sold much at all because I
highly doubt it. Now a C64 with a good keyboard and a better case shape
would be much more interesting.

There’s an option with an NVidia 1650 so it might not be too bad at playing
modern games. If you can actually get one. It’s also got cherry key switches
so it’s a nice keyboard as well.
It’s not bad as a system. It’s small and quiet and makes it easy to add an
extra SSD.
Alright… I like it.
