history is available out of the box, just gotta know how to set it up. it's
really easy!
and irc has really nice services which discord doesn't!
and irc has nice helper bots which discord doesn't.
and irc has really really nice security features, discord doesn't have any
of these.
and irc has some really nice features for ops, discord doesn't have any of
these either.
