Hi Markus,
If the recommendation is specifically for doing Amiga recaps, I would
actually suggest getting a second soldering iron instead. Using two irons,
removing these caps is trivially easy - it's the only way I do it now. I do
have a hot air station, and have built two ReAmiga 1200s from scratch so am
not suggesting a hot air station doesn't have solid use cases obviously!
(Several good ones suggested here already). But I really would recommend
trying using two irons for this, my second is just a cheap $30 thing I got
ages ago, not something I'd use for precision work - but with my Hakko on
the other side at the same time, removing SMD caps is effortless.
Hope this is useful! Good luck with your projects!

minor correction: was supposed to be with 3 tips* with the Feita unit.
Also forgot it as selectable temp setting like most of them do.

I got a Feita 858D from amazon nearly a month ago & used it a few
times & had no problems, it works well so far. It's just a hot air
station (no soldering station included) with 3 times. But it is 1 of
the cheaper units. I paid $45 when I got mine. So far I been using
it on my C64 setup so just on through hole components no smd's yet.

recapping projects on say Amiga computers, etc? And I'm not referring to
What would be a recommended hot air station for doing multiple
one of the $29 Chinese units LOL.
