One of the field marks for a Catalpa is "reniform spot black with grey filling"
so that ID doesn't seem to fit.  Does anyone know if Ceratomia catalpae can
have white spots?

My guess would be Hodges 07789  Catalpa
Sphinx Moth.  I have those now, but the spot on mine isn't as
white.
