Carol, I sort moths by the Hodges number. BugGuide usually includes the 5 digit number. Moth Photographers Group uses the order. I put the number before the name, then sort by name. Instant order. Sorry, I don't know what your moth is. Larry McDaniel Johnson City, TN From: humble1@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tn-moths] Unknown moth photo Date: Mon, 28 Dec 2009 16:16:13 -0600 To: TN-moths@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I know it is a very poor photo and not taken from the right angle, but I thought maybe someone might have seen this or something similar and could help me out with the ID, or at least get to a family level. This was taken August 4, 2008 in my yard. Also I have been organizing moth photos and using the taxonomy from Bug Guide. Is it current or is there something that is better? Thanks for your help.
