I just went through all the Tort plates on MPG and if you ignore the yellow 
color, 2812 looks like a good fit. 2815 also looks close but I don't have any 
range info on that one.

The closest thing I can find to this little fella is 2812 - Olethreutes 
valdanum.  Two problems.  First, my photo seems a little more yellow in tone, 
which could simply be photo exposure.  Second, the range for 2812 seems 
confined to the NE US and does not extend below Ohio.  So . . . anyone have an 
alternative?
