[tn-moths] Moth parasites

I've noticed a few mites this year but I've also been seeing quite a few of 
something that is orange with legs or something trailing off that makes it look 
almost like a tiny swimming octopus. I've also seen something that looks like a 
tiny orange spider which may or may not be the same thing. Does anyone know 
what these are?
