I was impressed by the bluish (violet) tinge on the ventral surface of this Question Mark today that was feeding on the fruit sack (watermelon). Apparently, from comments on Randy Emmitt's site, http://www.rlephoto.com/anglewings/mark_question02.htm, this is a fresh individual. It is a summer (black) form. I have this species "regularly" and individuals vary considerably even down to the prominence of the "question mark." Comments on this analysis are appreciated.
