Hi Folks,
Another great day to count butterflies yielded another good tally. Tiger
Swallowtails put on a show as they glided up and down the trails and roads in
the park and 134 was a really good number for spring. But the true stars of
the day were the Monarchs. Normally, they aren't too numerous in spring, but
today they were especially prevalent, particularly at Eagle Lake WMA. We had a
decent number last fall and even more today, so hopefully this is a good sign
for them.
