May 28, 2009. Kentucky Manor, 5211 Kentucky Avenue, Nashville, Davidson
County, TN
    360934N (36.15944) and 0865102W (-86.85055)

The surprise today was an American Snout. The American Snout was the first
'fly seen at the Manor this season, that being February 8, and today is the
first of the species since (digital attached). I assume that the February
individual overwintered and thought that I would have seen this year's
before now. Other species today were Emperor Hackberry (2), Cabbage White
(3), and Orange Sulphur (1). A Cabbage White was flying at 7:10 a.m. in the
sun.

One Southern Pink Moth, Pyrausta inornatalis, was seen at the Manor at 2:51
p.m. today (digital obtained)..
