"Bush Hog pond", Washington Co., TN

Least Sandpiper - 1
Present since Thanksgiving, this individual is the first known
to attempt to over-winter in NE Tenn. There are 5 previous single-date
winter records in the area.

Cold (20 degrees), trace of snow; pond is spring-fed but still has
some ice around edges. Most other local ponds at least partly frozen.

Also present were 8 Snipe & several Killdeer, plus 3 Green-wg. Teal.
