I normally hear only Chuck wills widows in the National Military park just
south of Ft. Oglethorpe but last night, I heard the first Whippoorwill that
I have heard in the park. I expect that he was just passing through. It
seemed a bit poetic that it was calling across a road from the grave of the
only soldier from the battle who is buried in a single grave with a
headstone. John Ingram's family found his body and buried him on the
battlefield.
