[TN-Bird] where oh where are the whooping cranes?

I picked up Dee Thompson, yesterday, a pleasure to finally meet her, and we
went for a viewing of the cranes at Bell's Bend, but did not spot them.
First visit was about 2:20, second nearly 4:00, still no cranes. I wonder
if they are heading north?
